Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. The American Heart Associate ACLS Provider course is an initial 16 hours course for Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Topics covered in the course include: 1. BLS with effective chest compressions, using a Bag Valve Mask and an AED. 2. Early recognition and management of respiratory and cardiac arrest. 3. Recognition and early management of bradycardia and tachycardia. 4. Airway management 5. Pharmacology for treating Cardiac Arrest and Dysrhythmias. 6. Management of Acute Coronary Syndrome and Stroke 7. Effective communication as a team member and team leader.
