Dizziness

History

Patient was having dizziness described as room spinning sensation, muffled hearing in both ears, and a frontal headache for the last two days. He smokes cigarettes and has a history of high blood pressure and diabetes. He was concerned about the possibility of having a stroke.

Solution

Patient called XMD and gave detailed history to the examining physician.

Physical Exam

His blood pressure was 137/89 and his blood sugar was 167. A detailed neurological examination was performed and determined to be normal. He had sinus tenderness and swollen mucous membranes. His ear exam was normal and without evidence of infection or fluid behind either ear drum. See video…

Outcome

Patient was diagnosed with labyrinthitis (inflammation of the inner ear) secondary to sinus disease. He was placed on vertigo medicine and intranasal steroids. Patient showed daily improvement over the next three days and was able to remain on location.
